Sadly, falling into tier 3 means we have had to close the bed and breakfast doors once again from 26th December, apart from key workers.
We look forward to opening our doors and welcoming you in the New Year, stay safe and take care.
Forthay is a 17th Century grade 2 listed farmhouse made from cotswold stone bursting with character and charm.
Set in an idyllic location in the rural hamlet of Forthay, an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). The house is overlooked by Tyndale Monument, on the Cotswold Way, surrounded by rolling Gloucestershire countryside between Wotton Under Edge and Dursley.Forthay is the perfect retreat for guests who are looking for peaceful, relaxed accommodation with a touch of luxury.
There is a cosy snug available for guests use, complete with log burning stove, maps and magazines about the local area, a library of books and a selection of board games. The snug also has superfast WiFi.
Enjoy a glass of wine, a pint of locally brewed beer or cider, or a gin and tonic from our licensed bar.
Debs and Charles live on site, and are available to assist guests throughout their stay, organising taxis, restaurant bookings and days out.
Evening meals are available with 24 hour notice, due to COVID -19. Breakfast and evening meals are table service, minimising social contact. See menus on the 'Warm Welcome" page.

Charles and Debs were very welcoming and anything you needed if they haven't already thought of it, ask and it would be sorted. Very comfortable rooms, good quality bed linen, warm duvets and a lovely hot powerful shower, especially good as it is an attic room. The snug and breakfast rooms were lovely, and a good range of choices for breakfast.

We required a suitable B&B prior to visiting Highgrove Garden the following day this fitted the bill perfectly.

Wonderful relaxing dog friendly accommodation. The hosts were amazing and we were well looked after. Meal reservations were made for us and our dog. Torches provided for our evening walks. Can't praise this place enough.
